Environmental Management in Mining & Soil Management
Wednesday April 20, 2011
Hyatt Regency Hotel, Toronto, ON
This half day seminar highlights the issues of: excess soil management, mining stewardship responsibilities, human health and ecological risk assessments and Brownfield mining site development requirements.
With all the challenges of fill use in developments and infrastructure projects and more demands on our landfills, soil management is an important option for proper use of this finite resource. Our panel of experts will present their views from an industry, developer and legal perspective and discuss alternatives to dig and dump, soil reuse and other issues that can be addressed by a Provincial Soil Management Plan.
