Squamish Downtown Foreshore Remediation Case Study
Downtown Squamish nested between Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains is blessed with magnificent views and a vibrant community. With its origins as a resource town, the Squamish downtown foreshore has historically been dominated by logging related activities as well as other industrial uses related to its deep water port capability. We will explore site management strategies and remediation for a large portion of the Downtown Squamish foreshore, and the brownfields redevelopment potential
it unlocks for the community.
Common themes include the critical need for integration with other disciplines and stakeholders, flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs, and effective communications. In other words, work toward a common goal with an understanding and respect for each person's role.
